Red Dead 2 Online LEAK: Rockstar gameplay revealed ahead of beta release date

Red Dead 2 Online footage appears to have leaked online ahead of the beta release date.

RockstarIntel claims to have discovered an image from the opening of Red Dead Redemption 2 Online.

The image – which is titled ‘Intro’ – features a number of characters on the back of a jail wagon.

Furthermore, players will reportedly unlock a Trophy/Achievement called ‘Breakout’ for completing the first mission. This would suggest that players will have to escape jail before starting their Red Dead 2 Online adventure.

With Rockstar yet to much in the way of Red Dead 2 Online, it’s worth taking the leak with a pinch of salt.

Fans should find out for sure when Red Dead Redemption 2’s online beta launches in the coming days.

The exact Red Dead 2 Online release date remains a mystery, although Take-Two boss Strauss Zelnick recently told investors that it will launch towards the end of November.

Zelnick said: “It’s way too early to talk about Red Dead Redemption 2 Online, it hasn’t released yet.

“It will launch in public beta towards the end of the month and Rockstar will have a lot more to say about it. We’re not making any current predictions.”

One thing we do know is that Red Dead 2 Online is being billed as an “evolution of the classic multiplayer experience in the original Red Dead Redemption”.

It’s said to blend narrative with competitive and co-op gameplay, so expect an experience similar to GTA Online.

Rockstar explains more: “Using the gameplay of the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 as a foundation, Red Dead Online will be ready to be explored alone or with friends, and will also feature constant updates and adjustments to grow and evolve this experience for all players.

“Red Dead Online is planned for launch in November 2018, initially as a public beta, with more news to come soon.”

A list of potential Red Dead 2 Online mission types has also been leaked ahead of the release.

Red Dead 2 will reportedly include Deathmatch, Race, Survival, Capture, Last Team Standing and Parachuting.
