PUBG Mobile update: iOS still waiting on patch release news as Android goes LIVE

As many gamers will already know, a new PUBG Mobile update was released this week on Android, with iOS players still waiting on launch news.

It promised to bring a lot of new features to the game, with developers TenCent confirming this is in the new patch notes.

These have now been shared on the official PUBG Mobile Reddit page, where plenty of feedback is also been gathered.

The official PUBG Mobile 0.40 update should be available to everyone on Android and iOS by now.

However, it appears the review process on iOS is taking longer than expected and slowing down the rollout of the new update.

It’s unclear how long this process will take, although fans are hopeful that the patch will go live sometime today.

Right now, the development team say that the iOS update is still underway, and will be confirmed live on the official Reddit page.

As the official patch notes reveal, TenCent have looked to provide an improved combat experience, as well as better gunplay and vehicle usage.

Players should notice better nitro options for select vehicles, as well as 4x and 8x scope performance improvements.

There are also new modes to try out in-game, with TenCent providing a bit of background on the changes.

Arcade Mode: a new mode with 28 players and one of the six following variations: Shotguns, Sniper Rifles, All Weapons, Melee, Pistols and Item Heaven.

Training Grounds: try out all the weapons and practice your shooting skills.

The new PUBG Mobile update has also added a new Dusk weather setting, with the other changes available to read about in the patch notes below:
