Princess Eugenie’s wedding budget revealed – the amount may surprise you

Princess Eugenie, 28, is marrying her long-term partner Jack Brooksbank on 12th October.

Being ninth-in-line to the throne and the daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, both 58, Eugenie’s wedding is expected to be a lavish affair.

The two are getting married at St George’s Chapel, the same location as Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.

In another move made by the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the couple is also inviting 1,200 members of the public to watch their nuptials.

It has also been announced that Eugenie and Jack will embark on a carriage procession around the town of Windsor, an unusual move by a non-working such as Eugenie.

With these new large-scale additions to the wedding now announced, how will it affect the wedding budget?

It has been reported that the upcoming royal nuptials will cost anything between £380,000 and £760,000.

A sky-high price tag for some, but it’s is nothing compared to that of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day, that came in the region of £35 million.

The vast majority of the May Royal Wedding’s cost was spent on security, with thousands of people descending on Windsor to watch Harry and Meghan tie the knot.

However, with less public and global interest surrounding the wedding, smaller crowds are expected to turn out to Windsor, decreasing the need for such high security.

The guest list for Eugenie and Jack’s affair is expected to be much smaller than that of Harry and Meghan’s.

Eugenie is not classed as a “working royal” and therefore doesn’t have as many royal obligations she needs to fulfil on her big day.

This could mean a much more low-key, more intimate affair, with a smaller guest list and less pageantry.

When it comes to the cost of the dress, flowers, food and decorations, it is believed the Royal Family will fit the bill.

Ahead of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s big day, Kensington Palace confirmed that the Royal Family would pay for the “core aspects of the wedding” including the “church service, the associated music, flowers, decorations, and the reception afterwards.”

This was also the case for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s 2011 nuptials.

The palace is yet to issue a statement regarding the cost of Eugenie and Jack’s wedding.

According to BusinessInsider.com, Princess Eugenie’s father Prince Andrew, Duke of York, and Sarah Ferguson will likely split the bill with the Brooksbank family.

Just as well as it is also believed that Jack’s family is not sort of cash, being educated at the pricey £12,000 per term Stowe School in Buckinghamshire.

Reportedly a distant cousin of Eugenie’s through her mother’s side, the 32-year-old is also a descendant of the Brooksbank baronets.
