Camilla Thurlow has signed up to find love and bag a cash prize on the series, three years after she reportedly once hooked up with the young royal on a night out following his split from his girlfriend of two years, Cressida Bonas.
And Prince Harry, 32, – who has been in a relationship with American actress Meghan Markle since last November – will no doubt be hoping the familiar face won’t divulge any juicy details on the ITV2 show.
But producers are reportedly eager for the 27-year-old charity worker to spill the beans on their rumoured fling when she joins the other contestants for a summer of romance next week.
“It’s a real coup for ITV to get Camilla on the show, given her romantic history. Harry, on the other hand, won’t be so impressed,” a source told The Sun.
They continued: “Love Island is worlds apart from the Royal Family — and Camilla will inevitably be seen snogging and getting close to the other guys on the show.
“Producers are obviously hoping she might spill the beans on her night with Harry. Any royal anecdote is going to help boost the ratings.”
Harry also has a romantic past with host of the show Caroline Flack, after they met in 2009 and went on a number of dates.
Elsewhere, the royal’s relationship with Suits star Meghan, 35, appears to be heating up as the pair are rumoured to be moving in together this summer.
The couple are reportedly looking for a family home to buy in Norfolk so they can be close to Anmer Hall which is Prince William and Kate Middleton’s country abode.
A source told the Daily Star: “Harry has family on his mind more than ever. Until now he’s been busy with the Invictus Games, his appointments and his other charity work so his cottage in Kensington Palace has been more than enough for him.
“But with an engagement looming and potentially the patter of tiny feet, Harry is house-hunting big time.”
Love Island begins next Monday at 9.00pm on ITV2.
