Meghan also revealed to Vanity Fair how happy they both are in their new relationship.
She continued: “We’re a couple. We’re in love.”
And she dropped her biggest hint yet that the couple may soon be engaged and have to face the pressures that come with that, and said: “I’m sure there will be a time when we will have to come forward and present ourselves and have stories to tell, but I hope what people will understand is that this is our time.
“This is for us. It’s part of what makes it so special, that it’s just ours. But we’re happy. Personally, I love a great love story.”

Meghan Markle spoke to the Vanity Fair about her royal romance with Prince Harry, 32, and said: “We’re two people who are really happy and in love.
“We were very quietly dating for about six months before it became news, and I was working during that whole time, and the only thing that changed was people’s perception.
“Nothing about me changed. I’m still the same person that I am, and I’ve never defined myself by my relationship.”
Prince Harry, 32, and Meghan Markle, 36, travelled to Botswana at the beginning of August for her 36th birthday to soak up the wildlife, and even took a water safari on the Okavango Delta.
They then went to Livingstone in Zambia at the end of last week and finished their trip at Victoria Falls, one of the seven ‘natural wonders’ of the world.
But the couple are now back on home ground after Prince Harry was seen out in London last week at the White Garden in Kensington palace paying tribute to his mother, Princess Diana’s loving memory.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle: The Suits star recently opened up about their relationship
Many people have drawn similarities to the time Prince William proposed to the Duchess, Kate Middleton in Kenya.
As well as being the place where William proposed to Kate, its the destination the brothers and their father, Prince Charles, flew too after their mother, Princess Diana, died.
He has called it the place “where I feel more like myself than anywhere else in the world” and where he has an “intense sense of complete relaxation and normality”.
Friends of the pair have claimed the engagement is official.
A source told the Daily Star Sunday Prince Harry popped the question to the Suits actress while the couple were camping in Botswana.
They said the helicopter pilot prince flew Meghan out to the top secret site before proposing under the stars.
Rather than a ring, harry reportedly chose Zulu betrothal bracelets, an updated version of those currently worn by the couple as a symbol of love.
The source said: “The world is watching, so the royal red tape needs to be adhered to.
“Meghan won’t be landing at Heathrow with a giant rock on her finger.
“Harry’s told his friends he’s hoping to make the official announcement in September.
“The setting and the bracelets were just so special to Harry.”
