Pokemon Go fans are counting down to the introduction of Mewtwo Raids in the popular app.
The Legendary Pocket Monster was previously only accessible in EX Raids, which require an invite to join.
Fortunately, however, Pokemon Go developer Niantic recently announced plans to make Mewtwo available in regular Raids.
The Mewtwo Raids are scheduled to go live at 9pm UK time on September 20.
The only drawback is that Mewtwo Raids won’t be around forever, ending just over a month later on October 23.
And as one of the strongest Pocket Monsters in the game, it’s fair to say that defeating Mewtwo won’t be easy.
According to Pokemon Go Hub, the best Pocket Monsters to use against Mewtwo include Tyranitar, Gengar and Gyarados.
Tyranitar is said to be particularly useful if it knows Dark moves like Bite and Crunch.
If you already have a Mewtwo in your collection, then this will also perform well in Raids.
Houndoom is said to be the second best Dark in the game, although like Gengar, it’s not likely to survive many hits.
Dragonite is also a worthy all-rounder, while Pokemon like Scizor can chip in with extra damage.
