Last week the annual National Television Awards were held at the O2 Arena with a host of celebrities turning up to see if their shows had won. However, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield won for This Morning, beating Good Morning Britain once again, which angered the GMB host.
On the night Holly and Phillip accepted the award for Best Live Magazine Show, Piers – who can be a bit of a sore loser – had a lot to say on the matter.
Despite repeatedly saying he had no hard feelings towards the cast of This Morning, Piers went on to mock Holly and Phillip, doing an impression of the pair receiving their award.
This morning host Susanna Reid said to Piers: “Apparently you’re at war with one of the daytime stars. Don’t forget we’re all one big happy family! Poor Pip”.
Piers interrupted: “By the way, everyone’s making explosive digs at Phillip Schofield. It seems to be open-season on old Schoers.

“Everyone who knows us, I mean, everyone at This Morning was like, “What the hell?” The atmosphere in our studio is so wonderful, there’s such a lovely team. Everyone is lovely.” he continued.
A spokesperson for ITV said: “It’s deeply disappointing and unfair for Phillip to be the target of this sort of malicious gossip.”
They continued: “Phillip is a much-respected broadcaster and colleague and this is absolutely not a description of This Morning that we recognise.
“Holly and Phil are great friends both on and off-screen and are popular among viewers and colleagues alike.”
As a clip of Holly and Phil from the awards show played, Piers did an impression of Holly’s surprised reaction, saying: “Oh us!”
Elsewhere on Good Morning Britain Piers and Susanna spoke to Strictly Come Dancing professional and Susanna’s ex-dance partner Kevin Clifton.
Kevin was forced to shut down Piers as he tried to find out if he and Susanna had ever sparked a romance.
Piers asked: “The only one not to be struck by the Strictly curse, is our Susanna. How close do you get?”
Kevin quickly shut it down and started talking about his new show.
Piers asked: “Why are you avoiding my questions?”
The dancer replied: “They are generic.”
Good Morning Britain continues on ITV tomorrow at 6am.
