Ivanka Trump, 36, is the daughter of US president Donald Trump, now having a full-time role in his administration.
The unofficial first daughter announced last month that she had decided to focus her future and entire career on politics, closing down her eponymous fashion brand, Ivanka Trump.
In a statement issued late last month, Ivanka explained that “after 17 months in Washington” she didn’t know “when or if” she would ever return to her business.
But long before her career in politics and even her fashion label, Ivanka had a successful and lucrative career as a model, walking in shows for brands such as Versace, Marc Bouwer and Thierry Mugler.
Ivanka, actually born Ivana, began her modelling career during her teenage years, where she got into modelling “on weekends and holidays and absolutely not during the school year,” according to her mother, Ivana Trump.
It is reported that Donald Trump had a long-standing relationship with Elite Model Management, securing Ivanka a modelling contract.
During and following her school years, she featured in print advertisements for Tommy Hilfiger and Sasson Jeans, along with walking in runways around the world.
Her catwalk days saw her don the most unusual hairstyles and couture outfits, a far cry for her demure, businesslike style today.
In 2007, she appeared on the cover of now-defunct men’s magazine Stuff, alongside the headline “the world’s sexiest boss!”
Wearing a low-cut black strapless mini dress, Ivanka draped herself over a table looking seductively into the camera.
The cover was shot when Ivanka was working for the Trump family business as executive president of development and acquisitions.
Other racy shots show Ivanka lying on a desk in a gold, strappy mini dress and lying next to a sign that says “lady boss”.
Two years after joining, she moved on from the Trump organisation, partnering with Dynamic Diamond Corp to create the Ivanka Trump Fine Jewellery line.
This resulted in her featuring on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar, with the strapline “The New Queen of Diamonds”.
Becoming even more embedded in the fashion industry, she then launched the Ivanka Trump label, selling women’s clothes and accessories.
With such a successful career in both the worlds of fashion and politics, Ivanka is reported to have an astronomical net worth.
She now holds an unpaid role in her father’s administration, but still managed to pull in $ 12 million last year.
In 2017, Ivanka took in $ 289,300 in an advance for her upcoming book Women Who Work, she also received $ 2 million in severance after leaving her position at the Trump Organisation following her father’s inauguration.
The mother-of-three also reportedly earned $ 3.9 million last year from her stake in the Trump International Hotel in Washington DX, and $ 5 million from the Ivanka M.Trump Business Trust, which oversaw her now-closed fashion brand.
The statuesque blonde has also written two books and appeared on television programmes, such as the Miss Teen USA Pageant, The Apprentice and Project Runway.
