Perfume entrepreneur Jo Malone reveals she can SMELL CANCER thanks to her dyslexia

The 53-year-old businesswoman spoke about her extraordinary and potentially life-saving skill on today’s edition of Good Morning Britain.

Speaking to hosts Ben Shephard and Kate Garraway, she revealed: “I have dyslexia, so when life takes away from you in one way, it gives back in another.”

She went on to say: “This can be used to detect early diagnosis that could save lives.

“It’s not just the dogs or a regular test, let’s get this research going and working together.”

The perfumer thought that “everyone” could smell like her but found out that she was actually in a small percentage of people thanks to her abilities.

Jo said that her smelling skills were on the same level as that of dogs, who have been trained to identify illnesses such as cancer.

She revealed that she even detected her husband had a condition after he smelled different – and her nose turned out to be correct.

Her olfactory talents were put to the test on Good Morning Britain after she was pitted against Ozzy the dog to see who could identify a subtle chemical in one of four glasses.

The hosting duo also got the chance to sniff the four different glass beakers to try and find out which one has the chemical in it.

Sadly, Kate, 49 and Ben, 41, failed to identify the right glass but both Ozzy and Jo correctly chose the right one.

Jo, who suffered from breast cancer in 2003, said that she discovered her unique smelling ability after undergoing a series of tests at the Medical Detection Dogs centre.

The results showed that she could detect diseases and illnesses because she could smell the tiny changes in the chemicals produced by the human body when they have these conditions.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV at 6am.
