Julia Garner has portrayed the character of Ruth Langmore flawlessly in Ozark ever since her introduction in the second-ever episode. Introduced as the moody, cash-hungry and bossy teen of the Langmore clan, Ruth has developed over the years to show her softer, smarter and tenacious ways – making her a firm fan-favourite with Netflix subscribers. And now she’s been spotted on the set of another Netflix drama, Inventing Anna – leaving the Ozark fandom taken aback by the star’s transformation.
Based on New York Magazine article ‘How Anna Delvey Tricked New York’s Party People’ by Jessica Pressler, Inventing Anna looks at the real-life story between socialite Anna Delvey, AKA Anna Sorokin, and journalist Vivian (Anna Chlumsky).
Inspired by real events, Anna piqued the interest of the journalist and, in fact, the world as her lavish life was spread across the globe via the new age of social media.
Anna pretended to be a German heiress while in America to live this high-roller lifestyle she desired.
What followed was Anna Delvey living the high life in New York’s most luxurious and lucrative locations – although how she was able to do so led to a number of eyebrows being raised.

The Netflix series explores Anna and Vivian’s relationship while Anna awaits trial for a number of cons and scams she carried out in order to accommodate her newfound lifestyle.
And Garner has recently been spotted on the set of the upcoming Netflix series, looking very different to her Ruth Langmore altered.
Ruth’s look has been pretty much unchanged throughout her time on Ozark, with the character’s curls and understated fashion a key feature of the persona.
For Garner’s portrayal of Anna, however, the tables have been turned.
A fourth fan commented on the new look: “She is one of the best actresses of her generation.”
“Whenever I see her, all I can hear is ‘Marty’,” said another Ozark fan, as sixth opined: “Oh my god Julia is going to be amaziiiiing.”
Inventing Anna is still yet to receive a release date but looks likely to drop on the streaming service by 2021.
Garner will also be back in the fourth and final season of Ozark which is also tipped to air next year.
And Ruth’s return to screens is bound to be packed full of explosive and potentially deadly twists.
With season four already confirmed to be the final of the show, Ruth and her cousin Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) have joined allegiances with Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery).
Darlene’s determined to overcome Marty (Jason Bateman) and Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney) once and for all – but will she be able to do it with Ruth by her side?
Or will the Byrdes with the Navarro Cartel behind them take Darlene and Ruth out of the picture?
Ozark seasons 1-3 are available to stream on Netflix now.
