Overwatch Summer Games 2017 UPDATE: New Lucioball patch to fix THIS annoying bug

developer Blizzard is about to release a PS4 and Xbox One update for Lucioball.

The seasonal game mode currently has a bug affecting Competitive play.

Lucioball returned to Overwatch as part of the . It was joined by a new ranked mode called Copa Lucioball.

Unfortunately, however, friends have been unable to play the game mode together due to a bug.

If two friends are ranked differently in regular Competitive play, they can’t play together in Copa Lucioball, regardless of their rank in the new mode.

Game director Jeff Kaplan apologised to fans and told them that a fix would be released as part of an imminent PS4 and Xbox One update.

“Hi. Apologies for this bug. We have found the issue and are working on deploying a fix to each platform as soon as we can,” Kaplan told fans.

“Here’s what will probably happen: The console fix will go to certification with Microsoft and Sony today.

“As soon as the fix passes certification we will deploy to each console (one might pass faster than the other – it’s out of our hands, apologies for this).

“Also, one thing to note: we have a separate console hotfix patch that is currently already awaiting certification and should deploy sometime today or tomorrow. Many players will confuse this with the Lucioball fix but unfortunately, this is unrelated to that.

“Hope this clears things up. Really sorry this happened.”

The Summer Games 2017 event also features a host of new and returning skins.

And as an added bonus, the old skins introduced last year will be available at a slightly cheaper price.

Classic Summer Games skins will cost 1,000 credits, instead of the 3,000 credits it usually takes to unlock limited Legendary skins. The new skins will be sold at 3,000 credits.

New Summer Games 2017 cosmetic items will cost 3,000 for Legendary Skins, 750 credits for Epic skins, 225 credits for Rare tier items and 75 credits for common tier items.

That’s compared to returning Legendary skins at 1,000 credits, 2016 Epic skins for 250 credits, last year’s Rare tier items for 75 credits and 2016 Common tier items for just 25 credits.
