When are the Oscars 2018?
After the full list of Oscar nominations was announced earlier today, all eyes have turned to the main event – the Academy Awards ceremony.
The ceremony itself falls on March 4 this year, taking place at the Dolby Theatre at the Hollywood and Highland Centre in Hollywood, California.
The Oscars will start slightly earlier than previous years, kicking off at 5pm PST (8pm EST and 1am on March 5 in the UK).
Fans are also invited to enjoy a preview show featuring interviews with presenters and nominees that will start 90-minutes before the actual ceremony.
Who will host the Oscars 2018?
Academy officials have confirmed that comedian Jimmy Kimmel will return to host the Oscars for the second time.
Producing the ceremony will be Michael De Luca and Jennifer Todd, who took the helm for the Oscars 2017.
Academy president Cheryl Boone Isaacs said: “Jimmy, Mike and Jennifer are truly an Oscar Dream Team. Mike and Jennifer produced a beautiful show that was visually stunning.
“And Jimmy proved, from his opening monologue all the way through a finale we could never have imagined, that he is one our finest hosts in Oscar history.”
Which films are up for Oscars this year?
The Shape of Water looks set to dominate this year’s Academy Awards after picking up an impressive 13 nominations.
Other blockbusters to watch out for include Dunkirk with eight nominations, Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri with seven, and Jordan Peele’s haunting Get Out.
