Since One Direction went on hiatus last year, the 23-year-old singer has embarked on a solo career, having released This Town.
While his second single, Slow Hands, is released later today he’s been swiftly followed in the solo game by Styles who last month released Sign of the Times – a song fans thought sounded like David Bowie.
Despite their newly found solo careers, One Direction fans are still hopeful the band will reunite.
Now, in a new interview with The Sun, Horan has talked about when exactly when the band will get back together.
He said: “We were very close to [Cowell] for years and had a lot of success together.
“I just felt like I wanted and needed a fresh start [at Capitol].
“It’s a long time to be at a label I wanted to broaden my horizons and try something new.
“We both know that and when One Direction come back we’ll still have albums left to do.”
Horan continued: “It’s been a year and a bit already [since the hiatus]. We don’t want to put a time on it… You know I’m going to probably end up touring, Harry will probably end up doing the same, probably Liam, probably Louis. That’s a year. Time adds up.”
So when exactly will One Direction get back together, Niall?
He added: “But when that phone call does come, no matter whoever it comes from, we’re back again.”
Hopefully for fans that phone call will come sooner than later, after all the band are still contracted to record one more album with Cowell’s SYCO record label.
