Nigella Lawson, 58, is as famous for her curvaceous figure as she is for her hearty and indulgent culinary creations.
But the star has recently lost a lot of weight, showing off her new figure on her Instagram and her BBC show, Nigella: At My Table.
On her social media page, fans went wild for the sexy chef’s new look, with one writing: “looking so svelte Nigella!” and another commenting: “Wow. You have lost so much weight”.
Being such a big food lover and having a career in cooking, how did Nigella actually manage to shed the pounds?
Nigella has admitted that she’s never dieted, and instead achieved her new figure through a rather unusual method.
Talking to The Telegraph, Nigella revealed that she never initially intended to lose the weight.
The voluptuous star said: “I had a very glamorous operation – a double bunionisation. I couldn’t walk to the fridge afterwards and, actually, it’s quite a good diet.
“Not because I stopped eating but because you can say to someone, ‘Can you get me a slice of cake?’ but it’s kind of embarrassing to say, ‘And now could you get me a second slice?
“It’s certainly true my weight went up [in recent years] – that happens in life sometimes,” said Nigella about her former weight and subsequent weight loss.
“I wouldn’t want a life where I lived on chia seed pudding, just as I wouldn’t want to live where I lived on eggs Benedict or steak and chips.”
Since losing weight following her operation, Nigella has shed even more pounds, dropping from a size 16 to a size 12.
Not one to completely restrict herself, her continued weight loss was achieved by switching to a healthier lifestyle and changing her eating habits – but not by too much.
Nigella admitted to loving healthy foods such as kale and avocado, saying: “I love kale and I’m an avocado obsessive. But life is about balance, it’s not about being smug. You don’t eat things because you think they’re good for you.”
The 58-year-old also revealed that she didn’t take up any vigorous exercise to lose weight, detailing how she took up low-impact yoga.
“I do yoga three times a week,” she said. “I have to do something I enjoy, otherwise I wouldn’t do it.”
“The older I get the more I realise I have got to do lots of stretching. So even if I’m not doing yoga, I make myself do lots of stretching.”
Another TV chef who has recently lost a lot of weight is Masterchef and Eat Well for Less presenter Gregg Wallace.
Posting on Instagram during a holiday with his fourth wife Anne-Marie Wallace, 32 formerly known as Anne-Marie Sterpini, Gregg showed off his body transformation.
He posed topless, facing the camera side-on as he showed off his toned arms and lean six pack.
While Gregg has already spoken out about his three stone weight loss, it seems he has lost even more now.
