“But when you look at the meaning of iconic in the dictionary, an image, emblem, idol or hero.
“Iconic often describes something else like spirituality, virtue or evil and corruption.
“Arguably is Edward Colston, or was, he evil, was he corrupt? Well I have to say, in my eyes speaking as someone of colour, he was not a very nice person and he’s been and was a divisive figure in Bristol.”
