Microsoft E3 2017 to include EVEN MORE Xbox One games and Project Scorpio

The Xbox One E3 2017 conference is shaping up to be a big one.

In fact, Microsoft has so much to discuss that the conference running time has been extended.

That’s according to Microsoft’s Phil Spencer, who said that it would run for more than 90 minutes.

“Xbox briefing Sunday will likely run longer than our traditional 90 mins,” he tweeted. “For those recording just a heads up. #XboxE3”

While a big chunk of the E3 2017 conference is likely to revolve around Project Scorpio, Microsoft will need plenty of new exclusive games if the console is to be a success.

Games likely to be shown at the event include Crackdown 3, Sea of Thieves and the new Forza release.

In the build up to E3, Microsoft released a brand new trailer hyping the release of Project Scorpio.

With a “Feel True Power” tagline, the trailer tell fans to tune in to Microsoft’s E3 2017 conference on June 11.

Interestingly, however, while the Project Scorpio release date and name remain under wraps, the teaser trailer suggests it will use the same controller as the original .

The controller used in the video is black, which also suggests that Microsoft has decided on a classic colour scheme.

Fans will find out for sure during Microsoft’s E3 2017 conference at 10pm UK time this Sunday.

The impressive console has a CPU that is 30% faster than that of the original Xbox One, while the GPU is 4.6 times more powerful than its predecssor.

Interestingly, the 8GB of memory – which is up from the 5GB found in the original Xbox One – allows the console to process art assets, making it easier to run 4K resolution visuals at higher speeds.

The full list of Xbox Scorpio specs can be seen below…

  • CPU Eight custom x86 cores clocked at 2.3GHz
  • GPU 40 customised compute units at 1172MHz
  • Memory 12GB GDDR5
  • Memory Bandwidth 326GB/s
