Michael Jackson music: Wade Robson SPEAKS OUT on if he thinks fans should STOP listening

Earlier this month Leaving Neverland aired on Channel 4, seeing two men allege that Michael Jackson sexually abused them as children. The controversial documentary, which has been dismissed as untrue by the Jackson estate and family, has seen various radio stations and even an episode of The Simpsons, featuring the late star, dropped from the air. While TV shows like Strictly Come Dancing and The X Factor have reportedly vowed not to use Jackson’s songs in any performances in the future. Now one of Jackson’s accusers, Wade Robson has revealed his thoughts on if fans should stop listening to the singer’s music.

Speaking with TMZ at LAX airport in Los Angeles yesterday, Robson said: “That’s not really my concern. I mean that’s everybody’s individual journey.

“If I have any hope it’s just that we question in general who it is that we’re worshipping and why. So it’s beyond Michael.

“I don’t have any moral authority to make a judgement for everyone else on that. I don’t listen to his music because I have a personal experience with it. But that’s everyone’s individual choice.”

Despite the accusations made in the documentary, Jackson’s hits collection has returned to the UK Top 40.

MICHAEL JACKSON ‘INNOCENT’ BUS ADS REMOVED

Leaving Neverland was watched by around two million viewers when it aired in the UK.

Tom Porter, Channel 4 Commissioning Editor, said: “[Director] Dan Reed has succeeded in making an extraordinarily compelling, yet moving film about two men whose lives were changed forever by one of the most famous men who ever lived.

“Channel 4 is immensely proud to have commissioned this film and created the opportunity for James’ and Wade’s experiences to be so sensitively told.”
