Melania Trump, 47, was honoured for her philanthropy at the event by the NCHCF.
The First Lady wore a simple sky blue dress for the occasion, but made sure to flatter her figure with her choice.
Although the dress had a high neckline and came just below former model Melania’s knees, it was anything but frumpy.
Clinging to every curve, the outfit showed off the mother-of-one’s enviable figure.
Melania paired the dress with a bright white coat, which she wore casually over shoulders.
She matched her coat to her shoes, opting for a pair of white stilettos.
Melania kept her make-up low-key, and her hair in relaxed waves for the day out.
Smiling broadly, the First Lady posed for a number of photos which she shared to her Twitter account.
Melania was last seen out at the Invictus Games in Toronto, where she met Prince Harry – but her outfit then was not nearly as chic as her choice today.
She wore an oversized check suit, which was a bold choice which sadly fell flat.
The pattern on the suit created an optical illusion when the pair’s picture was snapped by the waiting press. Unfortunately it made stunning former model Melania look frumpy, despite being an incredibly beautiful pattern.
It’s believed the black and white suit was from Parisian fashion house Dior.
The wide-legged trousers and pattern of the fabric create an unflattering shape on the First Lady who is usually incredibly fashion-forward.
Melania’s appearance in the pricey outfit comes after she was pictured wearing a £1,000 Balmain shirt while doing the gardening.
Melania made a brief speech before meeting the Prince. She said: “On behalf of my husband and our entire country, I want to thank you and your families for all you have sacrificed to keep us safe.
“I also want to wish you good luck but I know you won’t need it. Take that fighting spirit that I know you have and bring home the gold.”
