Melania Trump, 47, will see her husband Donald Trump, 71, in Washington tonight for the State of the Union address.
This is the first address for the President, and is a tradition dating back to George Washington.
Melania was supposed to join Donald for his trip to Davos last week, but changed her plans at the last minute.
Because of this, the husband and wife have not seen each other since he flew off to Switzerland.
All eyes will be on the Trumps tonight as they welcome beneficiaries of Donald’s tax cuts as well as families who have lost loved ones at the hands of the MS-13 gang.
The First Lady will sit with the 15 chosen guests in her own box, the White House announced on Monday.
Hosting guests is a long-standing tradition at State of the Union addresses.
As well as their guests, the Trumps will welcome all of the President’s children bar Barron, press secretary Sarah Sanders told reporters yesterday.
Melania has come under scrutiny in recent weeks due to reports her marriage is under strain – reports she has slammed as “salacious”.
The former-model from Slovenia revealed through her staffer, Director of Communications Stephanie Grisham, that recent claims of tensions between her and her husband the President were false.
It was hinted by various news outlets including The New York Times that recent news concerning porn actress Stormy Daniels was causing a rift in the marriage between the President and First Lady.
Stormy Daniels has claimed that she was paid by the President in 2016, during his presidential campaign, to keep hush about an affair she claims the two had in 2006. However, the President has strongly denied this is the case.
While Donald was in Davos, his wife undertook some duties of her own on home soil.
She made a visit to the Holocaust Museum in Washington ahead of Holocaust Memorial Day, before heading to Florida.
It is not clear why Melania was in Florida over the weekend, but she often visits Mar-A-Lago, Trump’s Palm Beach property, which is situated in the state.
Releasing a statement on her decision not to attend Davos with her husband, Melania’s spokesperson said she had revised her plans due to “scheduling and logistical issues.”
