Meghan Markle, 36, is set to wed Prince Harry, 33, in Windsor in May. While not a state occasion, the wedding has garnered worldwide interest.
American Meghan will have had lots to learn about British traditions and royal wedding rules while planning her day.
And reports have surfaced that the former Suits actress has turned to a close girlfriend to help her navigate the wedding planning waters.
Millie Mackintosh, 28, who shot to fame as one of the original cast members of reality show Made In Chelsea, has been friends with Meghan for a long time.
The pair were said to have met before Meghan began dating Harry in 2016, and were introduced by a mutual friend.
Speaking about Millie’s involvement with the wedding, a royal source told the Daily Mail: “Some very knowledgeable people are saying she is actually being considered as a bridesmaid.
“They have a really close relationship and Millie has been a real source of support to Meghan during her move from Toronto and her new life in London.”
Millie was one of the host of famous to make an appearance on Meghan’s Instagram account before she shut it down earlier this year.
A photo from the summer of 2016 showed the duo resting on bikes in the grounds of Soho Farmhouse, a private members club in Oxfordshire.
And on 1 September 2016, Meghan posted a photo of the two of them sharing friendship bracelets.
Meghan has also name checked Millie as a “go-to” friend to exercise with during magazine interviews.
In November 2016, Meghan spoke to Women’s Health about the former wife of rapper Professor Green.
Speaking to the publication the healthy eating fan said: “I’m eager to come to the UK to do a workout with Russell [Bateman], the founder of SBC.
“My friend Millie Macintosh raves about his workouts, so I’ll call her up to do a class together next time I’m back in London.”
Millie is the heir to Mackintosh’s, a British confectionery firm known for Mackintosh’s Toffee, Quality Street and Rolo.
She is also friends with Spencer Matthews, the brother of James Matthew who married Pippa Middleton last year.
