Lucifer season 5 spoilers: Producer reveals what YOU must do to get new season

Fans of Netflix hit Lucifer are well-known for their fanatical following and proactive campaigns in getting what they want for the show.

After the show was scrapped by Fox at the end of season three, the fans set up a campaign to save the show.

Netflix obliged and rescued the show from disappearing forever.

Now, they have set up another petition to get Netflix to announce a season five after the show was an even bigger hit than they would have imagined.

Addressing the fan, the show’s producer has now come out and revealed what they must do if they want a season five to happen.

He tweeted: “Netflix typically waits about a month to gauge how well a new release has done… Today is Day 26 for #Lucifer Season four…

“In anticipation of @Netflix’s decision to #RenewLucifer, has anyone been re-watching Season four this weekend?”

Basically, fans have to continue bingeing the show in order for Netflix to realise how important the show is.

Luckily for them, if this is all it takes then they are destined to get their prized season five.

That’s because they are continuing to binge-watch the show, according to the Binge Report, and has placed first for the third week in a row for binge sessions.

The stats show 6.52 percent of Lucifer viewers watched the full season in one sitting and this placed it top of the list.

Tom Ellis, who plays Lucifer, was thrilled with the reaction and tweeted his gratitude to the fans.

He said: “You little bingers you…#Lucifer BINGE REPORT: ‘Lucifer’ Gets Cozy At No. 1.”

Naturally, fans started to reply with their praise of the show.

One fan replied: “I mean, are you really surprised?”

Another added: “No one deserves it more than you guys! Season four is brilliant.”

One of the reasons why fans loved season four so much was down to the move to the streaming platform Netflix.

It gave the showrunners the chance to include more violence and more nudity than ever before and fans loved it.

Talking about the season’s success, showrunner Ildy Modrovich admitted to TVLine: “I mean, holy c**p. It’s just been great. I feel like we’re getting spoiled. I don’t know if I could ever handle it when bad reviews came or something, because I feel so spoiled and grateful right now. How about you, Joe?”

Co-showrunner Joe Henderson replied: “It’s been absolutely amazing. For one, I can’t believe how fast people binged it. Like, it’s been absolutely amazing to have people, when I woke up the morning that we dropped, already be either finished or about to finish.”

Lucifer season four is available on Netflix now.
