The reality star took part in the hugely-popular ITV2 show last year but suffered from bad luck when he was booted out of the villa ahead of Kem Cetinay and Amber Davies’ triumphant win.
But as the latest batch of Love Island hopefuls battle it out for the lucrative prize fund this year, he has now claimed there are only three things that can get a contestant removed from the show.
According to the reality star, a contestant would need to break a very serious rule for producers to step in.
Theo explained “fighting, racial slurs and being sexually forceful” are never tolerated in the sun-soaked series.
The show has seen scandal between the couples so far this series but bosses have deemed the contestants’ behaviour appropriate for viewing.
Yet in 2016, former contestant Malia Arkian was forcibly removed from the villa following a raging argument with fellow contestant Kady McDermott.
“I was quite naughty on there but I wasn’t even close to being kicked out,” Theo added to The Mirror.
Aside from the public voting out their least favourite couples on the show, this year’s instalment has also seen Niall Aslam leave the villa early due to “personal reasons”.
A source then claimed the 23-year-old contestant departed the show due to struggles with his health.
“Duty of care is the most important consideration on shows like this,” a source revealed. “And as soon as he felt unwell, ITV would have had a discussion with him about leaving.”
“The decision they took would have been taken between all parties with Niall’s health being the only consideration,” the insider continued to The Sun.
The student hasn’t spoken out about the reasons behind his exit.
Last night’s Love Island instalment saw a shocking twist as the remaining couples were forced to turn on each other in the next nominations.
The outcome sees the “least-compatible” couples pitted against each other in tonight’s episode, with one set to leave the villa as they journey comes to an end.
Contestant Eyal Booker was the unlucky soul who broke the news to the rest of the islanders.
Splitting off to discuss their impending decision, many of the couples started to panic their future was on the line.
Samira Mighty and Alex George in particular were nervous their “friendship” could stand against them.
“We’re the friendship couple – yeah of course we do feel vulnerable,” he said, while Megan Barton Hanson admitted she was worried about the “atmosphere” in the villa.
Tonight will see one couple depart the villa in the show’s next exit.
