The Love Island 2018 contestant claims she was sent into the villa by ITV bosses in order to try and split up firm favourite couple Jack Fincham and Dani Dyer.
According to Jack’s former flame, she was introduced on the show to “cause tension”.
Ellie explained: “I brought up his poster before going in and producers wanted to get it in during my chat with Dani.
“I’d told them about it as they were asking me if Jack already knew about Dani.
“Everyone thinks he’s in there just because she’s Danny Dyer’s daughter. So I mentioned it.”
She added: “He’s not clever enough to keep up an act and would have slipped up, I do genuinely think he likes Dani. It’s just a touch that she’s Danny’s daughter.”
The 22-year-old also exposed show secrets, revealing bosses tried to coax her into speaking to Dani regarding claims Jack had liked several of Dani’s Instagram snaps before appearing on the show – despite seemingly not knowing who she was or that her father was Danny Dyer on the programme.
Ellie continued to The Sun: “I was like, ‘I wouldn’t worry’. They didn’t show it but I told Dani I do think Jack genuinely likes her.
“Whether he knew of her or not, they’d have got together.
“Jack was annoyed I’d mentioned the poster but I didn’t want to embarrass him.
“It’s only a little poster and Danny’s film The Business is his favourite. He likes him and is a fan.”
Ellie also reiterated claims from other Love Island contestants about how producers instruct conversations to be had at certain times.
The dumped islander said: “Producers will tell you when to talk. They will say, ‘Can you and so-and-so have a chat’. If they want you to add something or word it differently, they might ask you.
“I’m not very good with speaking, so would often ask to do it again. I had a conversation with Grace [Wardle] and we kept giggling and they told us to stop. But they do let you be as natural as you can.”
Ellie didn’t stop there, telling the publication about an explosive exchange with her ex that was cut from the final broadcast.
Hinting the show is protecting Jack’s image so viewers don’t turn away from his romance with Dani, Ellie added: “He swore at me and called me f***ing d***head.
“He was angry about the situation and that it is not normal for an ex and your current girlfriend to go out on a date and speak about you. He then apologised and we were fine the next day.”
While the row was not seen by ITV2 viewers, a Love Island spokesperson said: “Opinions they have, decisions they make and the relationships formed are completely within the control of the Islanders themselves.
“It is our intention to produce a show that is a fair and accurate representation of life in the villa.”
