Scottish comedian Iain Stirling, who voices the hit ITV2 show, claimed Alex George has transformed since he first arrived in the villa.
The 30-year-old star said Love Island hopefuls such as Alex, 27, have been on a journey and joked the A&E doctor has an eye for the ladies.
During an interview with This Morning’s hosts, Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, Iain gushed about the new series, saying he was “thrilled” to see the contestant’s growth.
He also admitted he did not expect Adam Collard to behaviour the way he has and joked that the 22-year-old personal trainer makes his own rules.
“I don’t think anyone could tell Adam was going to be Adam, I mean that man is a law unto himself, he quipped.
“But I think you get a rough idea but that’s the great thing about Love Island and why people love the show.”
The voice artist added: “People genuinely go on journeys, I don’t think people had really warmed to Rosie [Williams] but after last night people get her now.
“Alex has really transformed and come out of his skin and become a bit of a womaniser – it’s nice to see.”
Iain, who has narrated the show since it’s relaunch in 2015, said he and the production team were “thrilled and baffled in equal measure” by the success of the ITV2 programme.
“We must be doing something right, it’s going well for us, we’re pumped,” he exclaimed.
In last night’s episode of Love Island, Iain hilariously pointed out that Alex and new girl Ellie’s initials make A&E.
At the end of the show, Alex was encouraged to speak to Ellie Brown, 20, by fellow contestants Jack Fincham, Dani Dyer and Adam Collard.
As the group chatted in the outdoor area, Iain could be heard saying: “They’re desperate to see him and Ellie get it on. Me too, because together they will become ‘A&E’!”
Alex was then shown approaching Ellie in the kitchen and asked if he could have a chat with her.
The twosome decided they would couple up when they next decide who they want to partner with and sealed the deal with a passionate kiss.
Fans of the show approved of Iain’s funny line and took to Twitter to comment on the hilarious pun.
One wrote: “That A&E joke was an absolute masterpiece Iain.”
“Alex and Ellie equal A&E brilliant @IainDoesJokes,” another added.
A third said: “The fact Alex and Ellie make A&E is so cute.”
Love Island continues tonight on ITV2 at 9pm.
