Lorraine thrown into chaos as Dame Joan Collins is forced to CANCEL appearance last minute

Stand-in host Christina Lampard was forced to interview the legendary British actress over the phone after the star was caught in “hideous traffic”.

The 38-year-old host warned viewers that the Dynasty star was running late, though, eager to get Dame Joan on the show, she insisted they would hold out for as long as possible in the hope that she might arrive

“We’ve been told she is stuck in traffic. We’re going to give her a few minutes to get here. She’s stuck in hideous traffic,” the former One Show host explained.

However, showmakers were forced to rethink her appearance after the traffic continued to halt the 83-year-old.

“Well, the traffic is unbelievable. It’s two miles and it’s taken me an hour and a half,” Dame Joan revealed from her car.

However, some angered watchers accused the star of using the traffic as an excuse.

“A special show for Joan Collins and she can’t even be bothered to turn up!” slammed one.

“Better add some traffic noise to this phone call #lorraine,” raged a further.

While the busy roads meant the Land of the Pharaohs actress was unable to make it to the ITV studios, she didn’t let that deter her from giving a vivacious interview.
