Viewers took to Twitter in their droves to criticise Katie for her musical abilities as she sang new single I Got U.
Katie, 39, was flanked by two male dancers as her fellow Loose Women panellists watched on.
At one point, the mother-of-five appeared to be struggling with her ear piece as she sang the lyrics – but was determined to carry on, but viewers were wishing she hadn’t.
“#KatiePrice sounding like she belongs in one of those dodgy karaoke bars in Spain with her friends egging her on,” one person tweeted, while another added: “I was cringing big time. Had to look on here just to see if everyone agreed. Audience were thinking what the hell is this?! Boring song too.”
A third person tweeted: “@loosewomen sorry but I think Katie Price won’t be able to have pop star on her cv. As for lyrics what a load of repetitive rubbish. Sorry.”
However, others praised Katie for having the guts to perform on live television and liked her new song.
“Well done @MissKatiePrice singing totally live despite the ear monitor trying to escape – fun, summer song!” one wrote, while another said: “She hasn’t got a voice of a pop star but it was a good effort she had guts to sing live.”
Of course, this isn’t the first time that Katie has tried her hand at singing and enjoying a pop career.
In 2006 she released A Whole New World with her then-husband Peter Andre, after making a bid for Eurovision in 2005.
And in 2010 she released Free To Love Again – which entered the charts at number 60.
Elsewhere on Loose Women today, Robbie Williams’ wife Ayda Field broke down as she spoke about the Grenfell Tower charity single – which was unveiled today.
The actress was left visibly upset after a small segment of Bridge over Troubled Water – organised by Simon Cowell – was played on the ITV show.
As the camera returned to the 38-year-old, she was barely able to speak, before her co-star Ruth Langsford revealed she knew someone affected by the tragedy, which so far has a death toll of 79.
Loose Women continues weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
