The journalist was more than happy to reveal she eats roadkill after guest Gino D’Acampo was pictured with a rabbit.
Promoting his latest cookbook, the This Morning chef had everyone cooing over his childhood snap with what they thought was just a cute, fluffy pet.
“That was the introduction of a rabbit to me,” the 40-year-old stated, before the mood quickly changed. “I ate my first rabbit…”
As gasps rose from the audience, Gino continued: “What? Yeah, [we ate] that rabbit. In Italy we do eat rabbits. Easter time we use to cook them, delicious!”
While Christine Lampard, Coleen Nolan and Stacey Solomon all looked shocked, Janet went on to make a big confession.
“Yeah, I eat rabbit. I eat roadkill rabbit. Gino, if I see a dead rabbit on the road, I’d skin it and eat it,” the 70-year-old stated, in a matter-of-fact manner.
However, sensing the conversation taking a grim turn, Stacey, 27, suggested: “Come on guys, it’s Easter!”
Meanwhile, Paddy McGuinness also appeared on the instalment to promote the new series of Take Me Out.
The presenter snapped at Janet after she refused to have a kiss and a hug from him as he took his seat in the middle.
“I worry about you, Janet,” the 43-year-old said and, as she placed a friendly hand on his arm, he joked: “Don’t touch me!”
