Last Flag Flying review: Linklater gets a little lost on his long and very winding road

Bryan Cranston, Steve Carell, and Laurence Fishburne play chatty Vietnam vets who reunite for an incident-packed journey to bury Carell’s character’s son, a Marine killed in Iraq.

There are touching moments and a couple of very funny lines but Linklater (Boyhood, Before Sunrise) gets a little lost on his long and very winding road.
