Kate Middleton’s new job was announced by Kensington Palace first, and those familiar with the Duchess will not be surprised at the role she has taken, just weeks before her due date.
Kensington Palace tweeted an image of the stunning Duchess at the Victoria and Albert Museum alongside the announcement.
The official royal social media page said: “The Duchess of Cambridge is to become the first Royal Patron of the Victoria and Albert Museum.
“Furthering Her Royal Highness’s interest in the visual arts, photography and design, she formally takes up the @V_and_A Patronage from today.”
Kate studied history of art at St Andrew’s university, where she met her future husband.
Kensington Palace added: “The V&A is the world’s leading museum of art, design, education and performance.
“It was established to make works of art available to all and to inspire British designers and manufacturers.
“The Duchess previously visited the @V_and_A in June 2017 to officially open the Museum’s new entrance, courtyard and exhibition gallery on Exhibition Road.”
This is the latest in a string of new jobs that the Duchess of Cambridge has undertaken since her pregnancy was announced.
It seems that the mother-of-two to Prince George, four, and Princess Charlotte, two, has no plans to slow down for baby number three.
Kate Middleton’s patronages were expanded to include two new charities in February.
They are the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Nursing Now.

This would place the due date on 30 April 2018. This would be close to Kate and William’s anniversary, and Charlotte’s birthday, on May 2.
