Ben, 43, was explaining the ITV breakfast show’s new competition which would include a surprise home visit from Andi Peters.
However, it seemed that the long-standing presenter hadn’t considered his words before he said them as he muttered the ultimate innuendo.
“It could be you that he knocks up,” Ben teased, while Kate was left horrified.
Kate, 50, could barely hold in her laughter as she exclaimed: “What?”
Ever the professionals, Ben and Kate composed themselves and continued with their Good Morning Britain duties.
However, viewers didn’t miss the gaffe and flocked to Twitter to share their amusement.
One posted: “Ben Shephrd cracking me up with his bloopers on GMB this morning.”
A second joked: “Andi Peters is knocking people up now eh Ben?”
Another who seems to hold a flame for the hunky presenter added: “If Ben Shephard knocking people up… I’m in!”(sic)
