Alex admitted he felt “nervous” about his first time at the news desk.
He confessed: “I am very excited, everyone keeps saying they are very excited for me, I’m also very nervous.”
The star also explained a furious row in his hotel which had kept him up the night before his big debut.
“So I checked into the hotel yesterday, all was fine, and then at about one o’clock this morning, a couple next door decided to have a row about whose career was more important.
“And I wanted to knock on the door and say, ‘Actually I’ve got a pretty big job tomorrow myself!'”
