Justice League: Deleted post-credits scene REVEALED – What does it mean for Green Lantern?

WARNING SPOILERS FOR JUSTICE LEAGUE AHEAD

Following in Marvel’s footsteps, the DC Extended Universe movie now has its own end-credits scenes to tease the next movies in the franchise.

, with the first being a mid-credit scene of Superman and Flash racing each other to the Pacific coast.

However the post-credits one really sets up what’s to come next, with the return of Lex Luthor – last seen incarcerated in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

Escaped from prison, the villain is seen meeting up with Deathstroke discussing the formation of their own league, presumably the Legion of Doom. However this wasn’t the original plan for Justice League’s epilogue.

It turns out another screen was shot, but scrapped early on, only to be replaced with the Luthor scene.

Screen Rant spotted an unnamed VFX artist on Reddit, who revealed that the original scene saw Bruce Wayne at his lake house one evening.

It turns out Batman was being visited by Kilowog and Tomar-Re, two members of Green Lantern Corps.

DC fans will know that Warner Bros are planning to release a Green Lantern Corps movie in 2020.

Some fans were hoping for a surprise cameo by the new Green Lantern in Justice League, since he’s a main member in the comics, however he did not appear.

One of the most popular choices for casting is Armie Hammer, who regularly trolls fans about the role through his Twitter account.

Maybe it’s time for the star, who was once set to play Batman in a cancelled Justice League movie, to take on the part.
