Scientists have scientifically (not really) proven that there is no danger of this franchise going extinct.
The new trailer for JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM finally arrived and opens cosily with Pratt and Bryce Taylor Howard flirting.
Enjoy the peace while you can before everything turns into one long scream as terrorised humans AND dinosaurs face extinction as they all hurtle, quite literally, over the edge of a cliff.
Fire and destruction rain down from the sky as the latest Jurassic movie delivers an epic and breathtaking opening blast.
WATCH THE NEW TRAILER NEXT:
Last week we saw the first first tiny sneak peak at Chris Pratt’s character Owen Grady with a new addition to the family. No, Bryce Taylor Howard hasn’t taken off her shoes long enough for that, it is actually a new raptor baby.
First images and the featurette showed that everyone, from baby raptors to giant tyrannosauruses and everything in between, is in terrible danger this time around.
Refreshingly, the gender imbalance of Howard and her high heels has been redressed as it is the teenage boy who screams loudest. But then, who wouldn’t, faced with rows of razor-sharp teeth and a merciless instinct to hunt and devour anything that moves?
The film looks set to devour the box office next year, but the first trailer gives little else away about the plot.
We do know that evil Dr Henry Wong and his stolen hybrid embryos are putting the Jurassic world at risk but the immediate scene is first set for the end of the old world, the old order and the old setting for the franchise.
The whole of Isla Nublar appears to be exploding and an actual volcano is erupting as humans and dinosaurs stampede in terror for their lives.
Both Jurassic World stars are back on board with Bryce Taylor Howard promising: “This story takes dinosaurs and takes Jurassic where it’s never gone before.”
Chris Pratt adds: “We’re literally blowing up the island.”
One of the filmmakers summed it up when he boasted: “On this movie you will see more dinosaurs than you’ve ever seen before.” And everyone is eager to impress just how, well, impressive the animatronics are. No need for slightly too glossy CGI, here. These monsters are real.
The new movie is directed by J.A. Bayona (The Orphanage, The Impossible), but was written by Jurassic World director, Colin Trevorrow.
Jurassic legend Jeff Goldblum will also reprise his role as the cynical Dr Ian Malcolm from the original movies.
JURASSIC WORLD: FALLEN KINGDOM IS OUT IN UK CINEMAS ON JUNE 7, 2018
