John Waters, director of Pink Flamingos, is taking his camp aesthetic literally. Camp John Waters, which we learned about on AV Club, is an adult summer camp that is set to take place in the Berkshire Mountains of Kent, Connecticut from September 22 to 24. Best of all, it’s hosted by the filmmaker himself. Waters will be judging a costume contest inspired by his movies. He’ll be reading from one of his books. And campers will have the chance to attend a one-man show featuring Waters, ask all those burning questions about dog feces at a Q&A, and participate in fun games and activities like Hairspray karaoke and Bloody Mary bingo. The whole thing will set you back a few hundred dollars, but who’s counting their pennies when it comes to partying at a sleepover with the Pope of Trash? See the official website for more details.
