Jeremy Corbyn left disgruntled after Will Young ‘harassment’: 'He did get quite angry'

Will, 39, revealed something about himself that had bothered Jeremy Corbyn as he was interviewed on ITV’s Loose Women this afternoon.

The popstar appeared alongside his friend Christopher Sweeney to discuss their podcast Homo Sapiens with anchor host Ruth Langsford and the rest of the panel.

Jeremy, 68, is featured as a guest on the duo’s show in the first episode of the second season, which was released yesterday.

However, it didn’t all go smoothly when one subject of discussion riled up the politician.

When it came to talk of jam, Jeremy was not impressed with Will’s methods.

“He did get quite angry at Will’s jam recipe,” Christopher divulged.

Will went on to explain that Jeremy scolded him on the way he was using pectin in his recipe.

He then disclosed the flavours of the fruit preserve that could have caused the ire: “I make raspberry and rum jam.”

Will also confessed that he had to resort to desperate measures to try and get the Labour Party leader involved.

“I harassed him, I harangued the Labour Party,” he said.

Luckily he was successful in his efforts, and said it was a positive encounter overall.

“He said yes and we found the time, it was wonderful.”

The pair also told the panel that they had discussed composting with the Member of Parliament.

The Homo Sapiens podcast is described as “Radio 4’s ‘Woman’s Hour’ for an LGBT+ audience”.

Each week the show features an LGBT+ guest, or an ally of the group, the latter of which being the reason why Jeremy had been invited on to chat.

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
