Janet Street-Porter and Lisa Riley CLASH in heated jealousy debate: ‘That's pathetic!’

Today’s episode saw the panel discussing jealousy and their feelings about whether exes could ever really be friends.

However, the debate got intense fairly quickly after former Emmerdale star Lisa, 40, admitted that she would not be able to accept her partner remaining friends with his ex-wife.

“If it’s your partner, you have to put a lid on that,” Lisa said, referring to a person’s previous relationships.

She went on to speak about her own boyfriend: “I know that he was married. But if he was to say he wanted her to come over and stay with us from America – absolutely not a cat’s chance in hell.”

Lisa continued: “We would all go out to dinner and play happy families and I will have known what they’ve done in the bedroom.”

Her words clearly enraged Janet, 70, and she lashed out at her fellow panellist: “That’s pathetic! I am really good friends with my ex-husband. I go to lunch with him and his wife and I go to lunch with him without her.”

Janet added: “I think I am civilised and I think you’ve got a lot of work to do!”

The two women appeared to be at loggerheads, leading Nadia Sawalha to intervene and saying: “I think it’s something that I have aspire to.

“On my wedding day, [my husband] Mark was bit late and he came out of the car with his ex out the other side.”

Again Janet was left unimpressed by her colleagues and told them: “Relationships have a finite length of time. All of my relationships have come to an end.

“I think it reflects badly on the person if they say they were a nightmare to be with.”

Along with the clash between Janet and Lisa, Loose Women also spoke to Linda Nolan who broke her silence about her cancer diagnosis.

It was the first time she spoke about her illness since sister Coleen announced the news on Loose Women a couple of weeks ago.

Loose Women airs weekdays on ITV at 12.30pm.
