The actress had her first big break co-starring with Murphy in Danny Boyle’s 28 Days Later.
And of course, the director is now basically a done deal to helm Bond 25 with Craig.
Speaking with JOE.ie, while promoting Rampage, Harris said: “I’ve never heard that idea.
“That would be amazing – Danny [Boyle] and Cillian. I could totally see him as James Bond. Totally buying that, 100%.”
The 41-year-old Irish star may not get a chance to work with Boyle on a Bond movie though, unless the director reboots the franchise after Bond 25 with Craig.
Nevertheless the firm favourite to take on a new 007 is Christopher Nolan, who has admitted to talks with Bond producers and said he’d only take it on if it was a “reinvention”.
This would actually be massively in Murphy’s favour since the actor is a Nolan regular.
He played the Scarecrow in The Dark Knight trilogy and also starred in Inception and Dunkirk.
