Ruth Langsford and Eamonn Holmes met Laura Anderson and Paul Knops earlier on This Morning.
The Love Island stars appeared earlier today to discuss their ongoing relationship after finishing second on the ITV2 reality hit.
But fans will recall Laura, 29, seemed to have a thing for Eamonn, 58, after a cheeky conversation in the villa hit screens.
Ruth and her husband have been joking about it since but on today’s This Morning, the pair came face-to-face.
Laura and Paul opened up about their relationship, admitting they are exclusive now, but it didn’t stop Eamonn continuing the joke.
As the chat came to a close, Eamonn went to hug Laura, finally meeting the girl he has been talking about for months.
Never wanting to be outdone by her husband, Ruth got close to Paul on the sofa.
And viewers found the whole exchange hilarious, and flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts.
One laughed: “Ruth’s jealous face about to erupt.”
A second shared: “#ThisMorning wow, jealousy much Ruth…”
A third commented: “That’s exactly what I was thinking too. ‘Eyes off my Eamonn’ lol.”
The hilarious moment was clearly a joke as Eamonn and Ruth even shared a cheeky smooch earlier on This Morning.
When discussing whether kissing is cheating, the pair couldn’t help themselves and shared a tender moment on screen.
Eamonn and Ruth have been married since 2010 after enjoying a loving relationship since 1997.
They are widely considered one of televisions best-loved couples and have gone on to enjoy a successful career together on screen as well.
Last month, Ruth and Eamonn caught up with Dr Alex George from Love Island on This Morning and former Sky News presenter Eamonn coyly asked the reality TV star: “Was that Laura talking about me?”
Alex insisted she was, as he giggled during the hilarious moment.
Ruth giggled, adding: “I’ll be talking to that Laura, don’t you worry.” It’s clear the Eamonn and Laura joke is one set to bubble for many months to come for Eamonn and Ruth.
Last week on This Morning, Gok Wan abandoned Rylan Clark when he ran off set.
They spoke to a member of the public who found a large reptile in their bathroom before welcoming a snake handler.
“We’re going to be speaking to a snake expert now, but you can’t do this can you?” Rylan said to Gok.
“Ok so this is awful,” Gok said, before explaining: “I’ve never ever done this before at work but I’m going to have to leave the studio because there are real snakes in the studio, with an amazing snake handler, and my fear is so bad.”
Rylan then mocked Gok’s fear of snakes as he asked: “I know you’re that fearful, but can you leave in a real Jeremy Kyle backstage style for me?”
“I’m going, I’m going! I’m off,” Gok said, as viewers watched him abruptly get off the sofa and walk across the set to hide backstage.
“Off you go,” Rylan replied. “Whilst he is doing a little walk out, we are going to go over to a bit of a safe space.”
The cameras then followed Rylan over to another area of the studio, where he was met by a snake handler, who had brought in a selection of snakes.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
