ITV Loose Women: Lily Allen slammed for ‘hardly speaking’ through interview

Lily Allen has recently seen a lot of headlines after anecdotes from her newly released book were posted online.

The memoir, titled “My Thoughts Exactly,” details her life in the spotlight, and the troubles she has gone through during her decades in show business.

She arrived on Loose Women this morning to discuss these headlines and the subsequent stories that have followed since they appeared online.

However fans of the show quickly began pointing out she didn’t contribute much to the discussion, and stayed silent through a lot of the interview.

Writing on Twitter, one fan began: “A guest who hardly spoke. Must’ve felt like Christmas to this lot #LooseWomen.”

Another wrote: “Nadia Take a breathe and let the guests speak please #LooseWomen.” [sic]

A third added: “I wish Nadia would let someone else talk! #LooseWomen.”

“Why is @lilyallen on #LooseWomen again? she was so awkward last time, barely answering any questions,” added another.

Speaking about her book, she explained: “I’ve had a really great time, I’ve achieved so much.

“But I do feel like I’ve been misrepresented in many ways – and you can either let that sit there and become the truth, or give my own version of events which is what I’ve done.”

On the quotes that have been released about her in recent months, Lily explained: “I do write that in the introduction: This is my version of events.

“Especially where my parents are concerned or other people are concerned – it is my version.”

Lily also spoke about having her mother read the book before it was released, to which she explained she was fine.

She said: “she’s fine with it. She’s a grown up – as am I.

“She understands there was a need for me to get this out there.

“It was never presented to be ‘I’m so hard done by’ – not at all. She didn’t realise I felt like that.”

Earlier on this year Lily appeared on Loose Women and viewers lashed out once again.

The interview was branded “awkward” by fans as she spoke about her brand new album and mum guilt.

Fans wrote: “#loosewomen How awkward is this interview?,” and: “This is a horrendous interview #LooseWomen.”

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
