Good Morning Britain viewers tuned in to see the show hosted by Piers, 53, and Susanna, 47, where they were joined by comedian Harry Hill, 54.
During his interview, Harry was explaining how he has been teaching children the art of slap stick humour, in particular how to make a cream pie.
However, as Piers and Susanna joined in making a cream pie, Harry took the opportunity to get back at Piers for his uproar over the ‘Papoosegate’.
“If you want to personalise the pie, if you are going to throw it at someone in particular, you might want to add a letter.
“And because this pie, is for all those men that wear papooses,” Harry remarked before slamming his cream pie straight into Piers’ face, while Susanna just wailed and the studio audibly gasped.
“That’s for the guys that wear the papooses. Alright! It’s for Ross Kemp and for Daniel Craig,” Harry exclaimed.
However there was silence amongst the studio, before Susanna sincerely said: “Gosh. Are you alright?”
The camera zoomed into Piers’ faces and viewers saw him wipe the cream from his eyes.
But the situation then turned on Susanna, as he threw his cream pie into her face.
“Oh god. Oh god, what’s happened,” Harry commented.
But Piers just fell about laughing.
“I am so sorry,” Harry said to Susanna.
However, Susanna was adamant on revenge and got up and launched her pie onto Piers.
The pair were then seen messing about and rubbing the cream into each others hair and faces, laughing at the situation.
“I’ll be back in two and a half weeks… if we’re not taken off air!” Piers said through hysterics, before he got up and walked out of the studio.
After watching the incident unfold, Good Morning Britain viewers took to Twitter to discuss.
One said: “NO WAY DID THAT JUST HAPPEN!! Ahahahah I’m absolutely creasing! THIS is why I love @gmb so much! #GMB.”
“Harry Hill throwing a pie in Piers Morgan’s face live on #GMB is the funniest thing he’s ever done!!” Another added.
A third wrote: “Omg I’m weak laughing @HarryHill and @Piersmorgan on #GMB Pieface!”(sic)
“A cream pie fight between @piersmorgan @susannareid100 and Harry Hill. Gotta admit it was genuinely funny. #GMB,” one viewer tweeted.
It comes after Piers made his feelings toward men wear Papooses, or a baby sling very clear.
A few weeks ago the show held a debate as to whether men were more or less masculine for carrying their baby in such a device.
Ever since then, Piers has received responses from male celebrities, showing their support for the baby sling.
On today’s Good Morning Britain, Piers brought up the topic several times, and Ross Kemp joined him on the show to discuss it.
