ITV GMB: ‘Not as old as you’ Richard Madeley shocks with Susanna Reid swipe

Good Morning Britain welcomed back Susanna Reid today following on from her Easter break.

She was there with Richard Madeley and the pair wasted no time in getting on to some hard debates.

They were discussing the news that emerged from Lorraine yesterday when Anne Hathaway said she didn’t want to drink until her toddler turned 18.

Richard and Susanna debated whether it was possible to be a good parent and consume alcohol in moderation.

Of course, the debate came about after Susanna, 48, said she gave up the drink in a bid to lose weight.

Richard explained how Anne also said she gets four-day hangovers and he couldn’t quite believe it.

He said: “I mean, how much is she knocking back?”

Susanna defended: “People always assume when you give up alcohol you’ve had a massive problem with it, but you haven’t!”

She went on to explain how hangovers do get worse with age.

Richard added, referring to 36-year-old Anne: “She’s not that old?”

Susanna insisted: “She’s not as old as me.”

With a cheeky grin on his face, Richard joked: “Yeah, she’s not as old as you.”

Yesterday, fans were in uproar as Arg dropped a huge Line of Duty spoiler.

The TOWIE star was filling in for Richard Arnold as the entertainment editor and of course, the team had to discuss the BBC’s biggest show at the moment.

However, Arg hadn’t watched the episode which aired the previous night and it seemed he wasn’t aware of how sensitive fans can be about Line of Duty.

The guest dropped a pretty big spoiler which some fans were fuming with because they hadn’t seen the episode yet.

One said: “Arg has spoilt it for everyone.”

Another added: “Arg just said who was killed in last nights #lineofduty.”

A third shared: “Cheers Arg for the Line of Duty spoilers… Moron!”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
