As a new series of Saturday Night Live begins, the lampooning of the Trump administration is back in action.
This week’s main sketch saw a parody of hit horror movie IT, with CNN news anchor Anderson Cooper being haunted by Kellyanne Conway (Kellywise) from a sewer.
The spoof alludes to Cooper’s famous interviews with Conway over the firing of FBI Director Comey and when he laughed at her coining of the term ‘Alternative Facts’.
In the SNL sketch Cooper takes the role of Georgie from IT, wearing a yellow raincoat, only to be called over by Kellywise in the sewer.
The clown asks to be put back on TV and tries to temp Cooper with some silly quotes.
However she shows him his greatest fear: a newspaper saying that Trump is re-elected in 2020 and that he’ll get fat.
But then suddenly she turns into Hillary with her new book, What Happened, to trick him into the sewer – only turn back into Kellywise and bite his arm off.
Last month saw James Corden pull off a Pennywise sketch too, where he played the clown.
However his IT is mistaken for an office’s IT department, only for Freddy Krueger to be revealed as the actual computer guy.
A sequel to the IT movie set 27 years later is set for release in September 2019.
