Infiniti Q Inspiration design REVEALED ahead of Detroit Auto Show 2018 debut

Infiniti has released a new teaser image of the ahead of its debut at the Detroit Auto Show this week.

Nissan’s luxury carmaker will be bringing the new concept vehicle to the North American International Auto Show.

The car displays a new styling direction for the brand and will debut updated features that inform future vehicles the carmaker launches.

Up until now, just one full reveal image of the super sleek rear-end had been revealed but now this latest image shows the company’s full intentions.

The four-door concept car has a coupe-style swooping rear with a panoramic glass roof stretching the length of the body from the windscreen.

A new wraparound rear-light signature and LED badging also features.

The entire body has smooth uninterrupted curves across it, with just two powerful grooves cut into the bonnet.

A brand-new grille with a sharp aggressive design is flanked by narrow slit front-lights.

The grille itself could indicate that the future styling for Infiniti’s electric car range as the holes in it are a tight beehive and could just be a creative way to style an EV – which does not require a grille.

”Our Detroit concept car heralds a new generation of Infiniti: a seamless and stunning new design philosophy demonstrating Infiniti artistry in the new age of autonomy and breakthrough drivetrains,” said Alfonso Albaisa to AutoCar.

It will sit on a new platform, not shared by parent company Nissan, that will be used for other future models.

Previously the carmaker stated its intention to bring an electric car to the market by 2019.

Last year it revealed the which could also be on display in Detroit.

It will not go into production but some of the technology used to develop its electric powertrain could still be used by the manufacturer over the coming years.
