I’m A Celebrity's Larry Lamb: I wouldn’t do Strictly because I have two left feet

He also stars in the recently released film The Hatton Garden Job and last year took part in I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!. Larry, 69, lives in north London and has four children, including the television presenter George Lamb.

After your experience on I’m A Celebrity, would you do any more reality TV?

The jungle was a great experience. I’ve been in this game for so long that I would never ever say never. You just don’t know what’s going to come up. But I wouldn’t do Strictly because I have two left feet!

What’s next for you?

It looks like I’m going to be doing another movie in September and I’ve just finished cycling around four beautiful areas of Britain and meeting people.

I did it with my son, George, for a new Channel 5 series and it was a blast.

You are also fronting a new travel campaign for TUI called Cruise Mates. What’s that all about?

I always thought that going on a cruise just involved sitting on a big ship, but Cruise Mates is all about what happens on shore.

The ship is like your luxury spa hotel, but Cruise Mates gives people the chance to experience new cultures when they go ashore and to get a handle on what life is like there.

Do you have a passion for travel?

I’ve always loved travelling and when I did Who Do You Think You Are?

I found out that my ancestors were travelling entertainers, so it’s no surprise that I like new places!

What’s your favourite destination?

Venice is lovely and Paris. The Himalayan foothills in Nepal are beautiful, too, and I also own a holiday home in France.

Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us?

I really enjoy hanging out the washing on a nice breezy day.

Who would you swap places with for 24 hours?

Donald Trump, so I could do the job right. I’m worried about the way the world is and he’s part and parcel of it.

It would be nice if someone who intended to do good things for the world was doing his job.

What’s the best piece of advice you’ve been given?

Don’t bully your children.

My son’s mum told me that, because I was doing what my father had done, which was to impose his will upon me.

So I didn’t and now I have a wonderful relationship with an extraordinary man.
