The 28-year-old – who rose to fame as a member of The Saturdays – appeared on spin off show Extra Camp to tackle some viewers’ questions.
The singer went on to admit she is hoping to overcome her fear of bugs during her time in the jungle and believes she is “slowly getting over it”.
However, one teeny tiny critter still gives Vanessa the chills and she revealed her fear of them is so bad it sends her into a “meltdown”.
When asked if any critters have terrified her yet, Vanessa confessed: “Yes Leeches – I am so scared of them. In the night, especially when it rains, I find them on my trousers. I have a meltdown every time.”
The startling revelations didn’t end there as the Higher songstress declared who she thinks smells the worst out of her campmates.
Sniffing her body, Vanessa admitted: ”Me. I actually stink. I really stink. I did wash yesterday but it’s not the best.”
The Somerset-born star also said it is “surreal” being Down Under in the jungle with a bunch of other celebrities.
In response to a question, she said: ”I think it’s all a bit of a big surprise, to be honest. When I first got here it was a little bit surreal, then I was like, ‘How am I gonna do this?’”
