Popstar Jo O’Meara – of S Club 7 fame – just dropped a tweet minutes ago seriously suggesting that she’s about to join the likes of Stanley Johnson and boxing hero Amir Khan.
The 38-year-old teased to her 36,200 followers: “Just to let you know some very exiting things are about to happen !!! let the jungle drums roll xxxxxxx.”
In turn, fans went wild for the post, with one pleading “Please tell me it’s the jungle.”
Another squealed: “Are you going into the Jungle @joomeara OMG! That will be so cool to see you back on our screens again. I hope so as I’ve missed you Jo.”
Jo famously appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2007 where she became embroiled in a racism row alongside Jade Goody over their treatment towards eventual winner Shilpa Shetty.
The singer’s bombshell comes moments after reports claimed controversial comedian and radio broadcaster Iain Lee is also set to enter the camp as a late arrival.
As for the stars already in the I’m A Celebrity camp, Stanley, the father of Foreign Secretary Boris Johnson, has already emerged as the firm favourite to win.
Spokesperson Paddy Power commented: “Stanley Johnson may not have known who his fellow campmates were but after last night’s show, he has instantly made himself a household name. It looks like it’s ‘like father, like son’ when it comes to overseas diplomacy.
“Stanley might just be the most popular Tory in Britain at the moment.”
I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! continues tonight at 9pm on ITV.
