I’m a Celebrity 2017: Is THIS Labour politician heading into the jungle as late arrival?

The former leader of the Scottish Labour Party Kezia Dugdale will reportedly be one of the late arrivals joining the ten celebrities Down Under.

The 36-year-old is said to be ditching politics to fly out to Australia this weekend to join the likes of Amir Khan, Georgia Toffolo and Rebekah Vardy.

Kezia will leave her constituents in the Lothian regions without a representative as she takes on Bushtucker trials and aims to become Queen of the Jungle.

A source told The Scottish Sun: “It’s hard to represent constituents when you’re on the other side of the world. This signing is bound to annoy a lot of taxpayers.

“Kezia is going to be unable to perform her day job and serve her constituents for several weeks while she’s in the show.

“It might be good publicity for her, but there’s some who will think it’s not so good for the Labour party.”

Viewers could expect some arguments to rumble in the jungle as Kezia would be forced to spend a lot of time with Boris Johnsons’ father Stanley.

The two will no doubt spark many debates around the campfire as they discuss their political parties.

This year Coronation Street star Jennie McAlpine, 33, is one of the favourites to win the competition this year with Betfair giving her odds of 7/2 to claim victor.

In joint second place in the ITV series as Hollyoaks actor Jamie, 42, and YouTube star Jack Maynard, 22, the younger brother of singer Conor, according to the bookmakers.

I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! starts on ITV tomorrow at 9pm.
