Camp medic Bob confirmed that five of the eight snakes have been caught and now, former contestant Vicky Pattison has opened up on the safety measures taken to protect the stars.
Speaking to Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield on This Morning, the 30-year-old spilled: “I tell people this all of the time but I don’t think they realise it’s not a set. It definitely is a jungle.
“There are some lights and stuff but it is a dangerous place to be so Bob has got people patrolling the perimeter looking for dangerous wildlife or any potential threats.”
Holly, 36, asked: “Did you see anything you weren’t meant to?”
“On our last night, mine, Ferne [McCann] and George’s [Shelley], there was, and remember we had that big banquet, so we’re all lying around the fire, we’d made total piglets of ourselves, we could barely move,” Vicky began.
“And you just heard this voice, ‘Back away from the camp fire, back away from the camp fire’, and we’re like, ‘What’s going on? What’s going on?’
“It was a brown snake had slithered its way into camp and it’s the second deadliest snake in the world.”
Holly and Phillip were stunned by her admission, with the latter desperate to know how the snake had been spotted.
“It’s the producers who can see from a gallery,” the former Geordie Shore star revealed.
“So someone had to come in and grab him, and he was really aggressive, put him in a sack and save us all.”
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! airs tonight on ITV at 9pm while This Morning continues weekdays on ITV at 10.30am.
