And today, This Morning‘s Alison Hammond revealed a few secrets about what the stars who enter the camp late are expected to do.
Speaking about the stars rumoured to be late arrivals this year, she told hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield: “They will be on lockdown at the moment, in a hotel with a chaperone. They can’t go anywhere, their mobile phones will be taken off them.”
The entertainment reporter then went on to spill some secrets about her own experience entering the camp a few days late.
“I’ve got a little confession to make here,” Alison teased flashing a cheeky grin at the camera.
“They take everything from you. You have to hand over your mobile phone. But because I’ve done reality TV shows before, I knew this, so I took two phones.
“I gave them a dud phone and I kept my phone on me. So when I was in the hotel and the chaperone said goodnight Alison, I said goodnight and then rang my mum and was like, ‘What’s happening? Who’s in the jungle?'”
The 42-year-old added that she also chatted to her son every night for 10 days before she was taken into the camp.
Holly and Phillip were speechless as Alison continued: “I knew there’s no way I’m going to take my phone into the jungle because they’re going to search my bag.
“So I put it in my suitcase, I turned it off and put it in my suitcase. And you know what, they never checked my bag when I went into the jungle so I could have taken a mobile phone.”
Alison’s confession comes after former campmate Scarlett Moffatt revealed she was forced to take a shower by jungle medic Bob.
Speaking on spin-off show Extra Camp, the presenter admitted she was told to wash in the iconic spot before revealing she found mealworms in her hair.
