Huawei P20 Pro has been very well received since it arrived on the smartphone market.
In fact, the Chinese tech giant recently declared both it and the regular P20 have sold over 10million units combined.
In a statement, the company said: “Huawei today announced that it has sold 10 million units of Huawei P20 Pro and Huawei P20 in the first five months, empowering photography enthusiasts globally to take stunning photos with their smartphones.
“This remarkable milestone is testament to global consumers’ confidence in the Huawei brand, and the innovative technology that Huawei has engineered for its photography-centric line of flagship devices.
“Huawei’s latest flagship devices sold very well in key markets such as China and Western Europe, where they are performing significantly better than their predecessors.”
And part of the reason for the flagship’s success is surely the wealth of incredible features it brought to the table when it released earlier this year.
The P20 Pro packs a 4,000mAh battery, a gorgeous 6.1-inch display and a triple camera system capable to taking stunning images in low-light conditions.
Express.co.uk adored the P20 Pro when we reviewed it, giving it five out of five stars.
We declared: “Huawei has been making smartphones for years but nothing has grabbed our attention quite like the P20 Pro.
“This flagship easily keeps pace with the competition and in many ways it actually outclasses its rivals.
“The triple camera is fabulous, it looks great and that battery life is so impressive other manufacturers should be embarrassed about their lacklustre performance.”
But Huawei looks set to release a new smartphone next month that could be its best ever.
The firm recently released its Mate 20 Lite smartphone that is designed to be a more affordable device.
But two more devices bearing the same Mate 20 name are expected to be shown off in London on October 16.
The first is predicted to be dubbed the “Mate 20” while the second is presumed to be called the “Mate 20 Pro” that will tout the most premium features of the trio.
And now it appears the new flagship has leaked thanks to images that have emerged on Weibo.
Mate 20 Pro had been rumoured to boast a colossal 6.9-inch display and the pictures appear to line up with that.
A gargantuan device can be seen touting a notch at the top.
The screen also appears curved, a characteristic not seen on either the Mate 20 Lite or the P20 Pro.
Mate 20 Pro has also been rumoured to boast a futuristic fingerprint sensor that will be placed in the front display.
And other alleged images of the phone spotted in the wild seemingly showed it with a similar triple-lens camera to the P20 Pro.
Although the new photos appear to show an incredibly tantalising device, Huawei fans will not have to wait long to see what the firm has in store for its next flagship.
Express.co.uk will be covering the Chinese tech behemoth’s event in London on October 16.
